SpaceX adds $13bn AI hosting deal
What happened
SpaceX closed another AI-compute hosting deal earlier this month worth roughly $1.11bn a month, or about $13bn in annualized revenue, starting December 1, 2026, chief financial officer Bret Johnsen said. He said the deal strengthens the company's confidence in hitting $100bn in annualized revenue by December 2026, a target it first guided to in August. SpaceX is targeting its first orbital AI-compute satellites next year, flying the same V3 bus built for Starlink.
Read-across for SES
SpaceX's non-Starlink revenue keeps compounding, funding the Starlink price cuts squeezing SES's own GEO and MEO fleet. A new external compute customer shows SpaceX doesn't need Starlink or Starship revenue alone to sustain its buildout, removing one more reason to expect a pricing pullback.
